Participant@arrustarI for one do not want to wait, waiting gives her the upper hand, but we do need to be educated and should not rush this either, I totally agree.

Participant@jaercZyra,
I am sorry to hear of your father. I didn’t even know he was dead! Maybe you could talk to Orrin about how to un-undeadize a person? Or maybe she hasn’t even done it yet. If we have an angle to rescue the bodies before she raises them we definitely should! Wait, is he alive still?Concerning tactics for earlier in the increasingly unlikely event she comes peacefully into town…
If she were to come into town to talk, which was the original stipulation, I think it would be easy to enter into one of the buildings in Northwatch which is wardable (I know I saw several active over the summer). From what I understand you have to cast the Negation upon the Ward itself, but just within it, so as long as she wasn’t seated right by a wall or door, we could set the trap.
Also, I have no idea what a control rod for Ku’Bahl is and would be more grateful fora primer. I’m relatively sneaky though this is more of Wrynn’s bag. If this is a powerful item, won’t it be likely that it’s in a spot too dangerous for any one person to get at though? On the other hand, we should definitely try to Pickpocket her if we see her in a noncombat environment.
Jovi,
While taking arms against her seems ever wiser, let’s do it the smart way. On this we agree!Rigel

Keymaster@daggerHe died before I was born. There were signs of a ritual around his grave. He’s probably undead now. I don’t know if a Call of Salvation ritual would be possible or if we have any ritualists who could cast it, or the components, or what the components even are.
If I remember correctly someone mentioned something about how she wanted is to sacrifice our lives to empower our raised ancestors. Does anyone know if that means our families are also in danger? If they are I can’t guarantee I won’t comply with her wishes in order to save my family unless we can stop her soon enough.

Moderator@valeronThe Call of Salvation is not a cheap ritual by any means, at least not cheap enough to do it to 12 different undead. Honestly, I dont think it will work anyways because they were completely final corpse’d before they were turned undead. It may turn them back into a corpse, or it may fail since they were not living when they turned into an undead. You may want to ask Simarawyn(spelling) the White Knight about the finer details of that ritual. Rituals has to be very specific to work without a lot of experience to tweak it while you are casting it.
I dont think she will hunt our family members. She is fixated on Northwatch. I think a large part too is that it requires a strong and resilient soul, which Northwatch members tend to have; on top of the anger she feels towards us for what we did. To empower the undead, it requires a ‘part of your soul’ or the energy required to go through a circle and live or a LOT of normal citizens. If you do have relatives with strong spirits, I would check on them though.
Rigel,
Ku’vahl control rod can raise and lower barriers that help keep out unwanted guests from entering certain areas of the ruins without a lot of effort to get through. A control rod cannot work with every single barrier in Ku’vahl, but seems to be more keyed into certain areas; almost like different clearances depending on the rod. The one she has is keyed into the area she current controls that Averic could not get back. This rod should be on her person or close by since she would not be able to get into her territory and out without it. I mean, yeah, she may bury it on her way out; but I am willing to bet she carries it on her.

Participant@reginaldorsquireLet me know what you need from me. I have things more powerful and versatile than wards at my disposal and can arrange for keeping her in place for a short period of time.

Participant@silmarwenIt is not just blood relatives that she is aiming for, my dead husband’s corpse was taken from his grave in Il’lithoria. I have not been there for years and I have broken ties with those who live there . I have no idea how this random, worthless undead found this information but she clearly has powerful means of finding information that should have been lost with time.

Keymaster@daggerSo she has successfully taken three bodies so far as has been openly stated. Has anyone else found a family member’s grave successfully raided? It would be good to know how close to complete she is. As it is, 3 of 12 means she is already at least a quarter of the way there.
If I understood correctly the question asked about Kaizran last Wednesday night revealed that she is indeed under the influence of her grandfather and even Tal Sigor, but there isn’t really a way to release her and/or she might not be being controlled against her will but is rather making her decisions on her own but based on their guidance. I am not sure if this is entirely accurate though as I heard what was asked/answered second hand and was quite tired at the time.
So what actions do we want to take and when will we take them? Do we want to try to send someone to scout out where she is? Do we want to try to draw her out? (I might be able to with a letter saying I am willing to sacrifice myself to empower my father if it means keeping the rest of my family safe, but this has all sorts of risks with it including she might not even come herself but rather send an underling) Do we want to put more resources into figuring out if she can be “saved” from the influences over her? Are we going to continue to sit around and wait for her to show up?
I’m apologize if this post comes off a bit harsh, I’m just extremely frustrated in that I feel powerless as I can do nothing in this situation where my family has been targeted for something I wasn’t even around for. I don’t even know how she found out about me or my family as I only saw her once across the room when she came into town with her ultimatum.

Keymaster@daggerIf no one can think of a better plan before the end of this week I’m going to write Kaizran that letter to try to draw her out.

Participant@chelseaZyra,
I disagree entirely.
What is the point of drawing her out if we don’t have a plan to deal with her?
That would only put you and your safety at risk; which is not something I want.
It is frustrating to wait; I understand. But we need to have a solid plan as a town before making a move.Sibella

Keymaster@daggerSibella,
It’s not that it’s “frustrating to wait” it’s that we appear to be accomplishing absolutely nothing towards stopping her from going around stealing family members and strengthening herself.
I think we have as much of a plan as we are going to get. Draw her out, trap her in a warded structure or the sort of trap Wizard Reginald can put up. I’m not sure exactly how the fight with her will go, or if someone is looking into finding a way to free her of her grandfather still, but from what I understand she is past saving and we need to stop sitting around waiting for her to get stronger and come to us on her own terms. If other people are doing stuff to solidify a plan or trap or what-not then hopefully they will speak up before I send my letter. I can’t wait too long before sending my letter either as the further from my receiving news from my family such a letter is the more obvious it will become that it is bait for a trap.-Zyra Goldenmane

Participant@chelseaZyra,
I understand where you’re coming from and I have no control over what people decide to do; no one should have that control.
I am simply stating my opinion that I think sending her a letter to try and bait her; she is going to see through it. I don’t have any better plan formed at this point, but I don’t think this is the best plan.– Sibella

Keymaster@daggerSince the only feedback I’ve gotten so far (from some people I’ve talked to in person as well as Sibella) is that it’s a bad idea I won’t send the letter unless more people decide it’s a good idea. This was just the only action I could think of that I could do and I have a feeling we are going to regret our inaction.

Participant@reginaldorsquireZyra,
Attempt your plan. It has a small amount of risk for the initial outreach. If she sees through it then no harm no foul. If she doesn’t it gives us an oppurtunity. If it is an unreasonably unsafe situation you don’t take it. If it is in a predetermined location you let us know and we scout it out and attempt to set a trap. Low risk high reward in my opinion.

Participant@jaercI’m up for trap setting, so please keep me informed.
Is there any way we could convince Svargus that acting against Kaizran would help against Tal Sigor?
His help with setting a trap or using his network to watch / counter the doing of her servants could be decisive.
Plus any focus he puts on our enemy Kaizran, reduces his agency to be nefarious toward us!

Moderator@valeronHonestly, I would rather not work with Svargus on anything and get him involved with Northwatch. He is extremely shady and trying to use Northwatch for his own gains. He has lied to us about things and then act like he didnt know.
If he helped us with this, he would use that to try to force our hand later. It will not be altruistic.
