This was our first glance at the rules for how Mythic Realms is planning on managing the impact of the pandemic on your items, crafting, or ritual spellcasting. See the updated post below!

Rules Are Listed Below For the Following Players:

Player Coin Income for Discord Events
      Players with Consumables
      Players with Item Cards
      Players with Crafting Skills
      Players with Advance Crafting Skills
      Players with Ritual Skill
      Players with Strenuous abilities

Player Coin Income – After PCing a Discord event, regardless of accruing Skill Points, will receive 3.5 Silver per Event. Thank you for continuing to play during these trying times.

Players with Consumables or Crafting Material – After we begin full time live event again we will begin a 4-6 month timer (months will be determine based on how things look when we begin live events). All consumables and crafting material with expiration dates during COVID lockdown will keep their same expiration date, but may be used as if they were valid, till the timer ends. Example: If we were to begin in person events again on 04/01/2021 all consumables and crafting materials that expired before then would be usable till ether the end of July/September. There is no need to update their expiration date.

Exception – Consumables that required special components with yearlong initial durations. (i.e. Necreather / Rebirth)
Exception – Crafting Material that are plot related. (i.e. Spirit Touched Fade Root)
Exceptions can be brought to plot for approval, and may have their expiration date increased more than the 4/6 month window.

    .

Players with Item Cards – After we begin full time live event again we will begin a 4-6 month timer (months will be determine based on how things look when we begin live events). All itemcards with expiration dates during COVID lockdown will keep their same expiration date but may be used as if they were valid, till the timer end. (see players with consumables example)

Exception – Plot specific items or costly itemcard’s with initial yearlong durations.
Exceptions can be brought to plot for approval, and may have their expiration date increased more than the 4/6 month window.

    .

Players with Crafting Skills – After we begin full time live event again, you will be provided a list of all discord based events which you were awarded Skill Points and have a character that may utilizes them. This list will have a total amount of Production Points (PP) that Character had the potential of using during our lockdown. You may decide how to use this Pool of Production Points in several different ways. The following is various options you may use, and you may use any combination of these options.

Option 1 If you have any remain PP after using the other options, you will be issued a itemcard with a number of ‘Charges’ equal to available PP. When crafting for events after we begin live events, you may spend up to a maximum # of your normal logistical PP total during an event from this pool, essentially doubling your total PP, because it allows you to use the PP that you have earned during the current event, and spend an equal amount of what was unspent during the pandemic. (Example: If I have alchemy level 5, I have 10 PP during a logistics normally. I can use my itemcard that I have 50 PP stored in from discord events and use 10 charges, to gain an additional 10 PP for a total of 20 PP to craft with.)
Option 2You may choose to pay Double PP for any Consumable of 2 Silver or Less in construction cost, and have the coin cost reduced to Zero. (Only valid during our 4-6 window after starting live events)
Option 3You may choose to pay Double PP for any Consumable to add +6 months to that Consumable. (Only valid during our 4-6 window after starting live events)
Option 4 *– There may be some Discord Event magic items that will require PP to unlock, these may be used from this pool.
Option 5 *– If you possess an Advanced Crafting skill, please see the next subject.
Option 6 You may use the opportunity to assist a faction by donating your characters time in PP to assist in a plot, such as the The Wandering Shrine or the The Feravacus Rune Weaver’s Portal.

    .

The Wandering ShrineYour choice to empower the Wandering Shrine has unlocked new pathways to mysterious and powerful gifts.
By investing time, energy, coin, and components you will be able to create Shrine Charms which will reveal the hidden nature of these gifts. But doing so will take patience, luck, & effort.
Shrine Charms are crafted from all manner of magical ingredients, the likes of which are often used to create scrolls, weapon oils, enchanted medicinal salves, and other such items. The raw magic of the Shrine Charms that you create can then be absorbed by the Wandering Shrine when you place the charms within the Shrine Effigy in Northwatch. Silver Coins and Production Points of any type can be spent towards creating Shrine Charms. Each PP generally provides the equivalent of half a silver. You can track your PP expenditures towards The Wandering Shrine online.

The Feravacus Rune Weaver’s Portal By working on the portal you begin to feel the magic enhance and permeate the area. You will be working to build a large platform carved with intricate runes. People seem healthier and stronger in the area and buildings around town begin to grow with increased strength and durability.
You can invest your time production points or down times. Production points are a 1 to 1. Minor downtime is worth 20 and Major is worth 60. Please send emails saying what you would like to commit to mythicplot@gmail.com or message Josh on Discord or via other means.

*- These options may be used during COVID lockdown, but must be tracked by Runners and players using these options.

    .

Players with Advanced Crafting – You will be provided a list of all events in which you were awarded Skill Points, you may choose to make a roll for those events at normal coin cost. Please contact someone on staff to make these rolls digitally (Gomez is willing to do hangout rolls with anyone) or in person at an event, if time allows. (Remember only one roll per logistics regardless of number of crafts or ritual skills)

Exception – You may choose to pay 10 PP to a Countries’ Merchants Guild or other factions you are working with, from your Production Points pool. In turn they will help a character reduce the roll cost to zero and grant an additional +5% [Mentor Increase] to any roll made with this ability. (Runners and players must keep track of usage, if used during discord event period)

Players with Ritual – You will be provided a list of all events in which you were awarded Skill Points, you may choose to make a roll for those events at normal coin cost. Please contact someone on staff to make these rolls digitally (Gomez is willing to do hangout rolls with anyone) or in person at an event, if time allows. (Remember only one roll per logistics regardless of number of crafts or ritual skills)
Exception – You may choose to donate a Prismatic Dust to a Countries’ Mages guild and assist them. In turn they will help a character reduce the roll cost to zero and grant an additional +10% [Stackable Increase] to any roll made with this ability.) (Runners and players must keep track of usage, if used during discord event period)

    .

Players with Strenuous abilities (or once a year abilities) – We will most likely be resetting all these when we begin in person events again.

Exception – If you feel like you would have accomplished something prior to us beginning in person events, please discuss that with plot.

This is the official updated version of the original post above, now that we know our timeline. Thanks!

    Resuming In-Person Events in 2021 (COVID-19)
This post aims at explaining the rules for how Mythic Realms is planning on managing the impact of the pandemic on your items, crafting, or ritual spellcasting.

Rules Are Listed Below For the Following Players:

Player Coin Income for Discord Events
Players with Expiring Items (Consumables, Rituals, Magic Items, etc.)
      Players with Crafting Skills
Players with Advance Crafting or Ritual Spellcasting Skills
      Players with Strenuous abilities

Player Coin Income – After PCing a Discord event, regardless of accruing Skill Points, each player will receive 3.5 Silver per Event, which has been tracked by Shinai, our wonderful Treasure Coordinator. This coin will be made available for players to pick up during most events throughout the summer, and may also be available upon request afterwards if you weren’t able to acquire it beforehand. Thank you for playing with us during these trying times.

Players with Expiring Items – All consumables, crafting materials, and items with Item Cards that have expiration dates between March 2020 and December 2021 will be treated as if they expire in December of 2021. These items will keep their same expiration date, but may be used as if they were valid until the end of December 2021. There is no need to update their expiration date.

Exception – Specific plot-related items may potentially expire sooner, or have their expiration dates extended beyond December 2021, at plot team discretion.
Exception – If you possess an Artificing item which was crafted for a full year duration shortly before the Pandemic lockdown begun, please let staff or plot team know at an event or Open House, and they will work with you to potentially extend the expiration beyond December 2021. These extensions may also potentially be granted for Lasting Rituals (or even in some rare cases for Magic Items) but are primarily intended for Artificing Items crafted by Player Characters.

    .

Players with Crafting Skills – In June 2021, we will create a list of characters and the number of events which they earned Skill Points during the Pandemic Lockdown. For each of those events, characters who possessed crafting skills will have earned their standard amount of Production Points per logistics, which will have accumulated in a Pandemic Production Point Pool, and can be utilized/spent in a number of different ways. The posted list will include a summary of known PP earned and expended during the pandemic lockdown. Note: If you prefer for your character’s details to be excluded from this public list please reach out to Staff or the Plot Team ASAP.
Example: A rogue who has level 4 alchemy earns 8 pp per logistics. Over the course of 27 events attended on Discord, that Rogue would have earned a total of 216 pp (8 x 27 = 216). If the rogue contributed 140 pp towards empowering The Wandering Shrine, then the character would have 76 pp remaining.

We will be asking all players to either post in direct response to that thread with updates, or to send an email to mythiclogistics @ gmail.com with any updates or additional details regarding your Pandemic Production Point Pool. You may decide how to use this Pool of Production Points in any of the following ways, and you may use any combination of these options.

Option 1 If you have any pp remaining in your pool at the time of the Open House in June 2021 PP after using the other options, you may request an itemcard with a number of ‘Charges’ equal to available PP.
Option 2You may choose to pay Double PP for any Consumable that you are capable of crafting which is of 2 Silver or Less in construction cost, and have the coin cost reduced to Zero. (Only valid once you have received your Pandemic Production Point Pool ItemCard.

Option 3You may choose to pay Double PP for any Consumable which you create to add +6 months to that Consumable. (Only valid once you have received your Pandemic Production Point Pool ItemCard.
Option 4 *– If you possess an Advanced Crafting skill, please see the next topic.
Option 5 You may use your pool to seize the opportunity to assist a faction by donating your characters time in PP to assist in an ongoing plotline, such as the The Wandering Shrine or the The Feravacus Rune Weaver’s Portal.

    .

The Wandering ShrineYour choice to empower the Wandering Shrine has unlocked new pathways to mysterious and powerful gifts.

*- These options may be used during COVID lockdown, but must be tracked by Runners and players using these options.

    .

Players with Advanced Crafting or Ritual Spellcasting – For each event for which you were awarded Skill Points during the Pandemic Lockdown, you may choose to make a Proficiency or Research roll at normal coin cost. Please contact someone on staff to make these rolls digitally or in person at an event, if time allows. (Remember only one roll per logistics regardless of number of crafts or ritual skills). If you need to catch up on rolls that were not already completed prior to the June 2021 Open House, please work with Staff to do as as soon as is convenient (Gomez is willing to do Google Hangouts rolls with anyone).

Advanced Crafting Exception – You may choose to expend 10 PP towards working with a Countries’ Merchants Guild or other faction, from your Pandemic Production Points Pool. In return the faction will help a character reduce the roll cost to zero and grant an additional +5% [Mentor Increase] to any roll made with this ability.
Ritual Spellcasting Exception – You may choose to expend/donate a Prismatic Dust to assist your kingdom Mages guild (or other similar faction). In return they will help a character reduce the roll cost to zero and grant you an additional +10% [Stackable Increase] to any roll made with this ability.)

Note: Players should send an email to mythiclogistics@gmail.com to provide notification of the number of times the above options were used during the Pandemic Lockdown).

    .

Players with Strenuous abilities (or other once a year abilities) – We will be resetting these on June 1st 2021.

Exception – If you feel like there are any special circumstances for your character which would impact these abilities for your character, please discuss that with the plot team.

Please note that the Mythic New Year has been pushed back from April 1st to June 1st 2021. Last year’s Annual Pre-Pay has been automatically extended to cover events in April & May, while the 2021 Annual Pre-Pay will cover June 2021 through the end of March 2022. Thanks!

    Hey Folks,

Pandemic Production Pool Item Cards will be available starting this Wednesday, and Strenuous counts have been reset with the Mythic New Year.

At this point, the only active special exception for the handling of Items, Production, & Ritual is regarding expiration dates –
All consumables, crafting materials, and items with Item Cards that have expiration dates between March 2020 and December 2021 will be treated as if they expire in December of 2021. These items will keep their same expiration date, but may be used as if they were valid until the end of December 2021. There is no need to update their expiration date.

All specific rules for the Pandemic Production Pool that will be used going forward will be detailed on the items cards directly.

    Thanks!

    Mike M
