Taverns are abuzz with the news that another town has been found utterly destroyed. This time, a town in Westerland was reduced to ash and rubble. It is said a powerful ritual caster that specialized in Arcane Magics had recently built a home for himself there. Amongst his rumored possessions was a unique artifact said to have the power to imbue special cloths with magical powers. The reports all indicate that the ritualist’s home was at the center of the destruction, and that after searching the rubble no items could be found.
It is unclear if the ritualist was present that night, as he was known for long and frequent absences from the town.July 26, 2013 at 10:56 pm #47798herogoethKeymaster@herogoeth

Amidst the chaos in the sunken elven lands, where monsters roam and the people struggle to reclaim their drowning homes, it is rumored that another terrible monster has risen.
The creature is something out of legend, a hulking and beastly man showing prominent traits of the boar and the lion. Yet sightings of this beast only speak of battles against the former servants of Typhon. In particular, this creature has viciously attacked the monsters that inhabit those lands under the control of the mighty wizard, Panaerus Shale.
There is some debate among scholars that this creature is a manifestation of the ancient Totem Spirit, Oolangi, who was last seen fighting against the horde of monsters during the final battle of Typhon’s Invasion.August 7, 2013 at 3:14 am #47019SteveModerator@steve

Those who are paying attention to affairs in the Ethlin Ilses will get word that Wizard Panaerus Shale has been slain after attacking the adventurer’s outpost of Northwatch, on the northern border of the Falconcrest Kingdom.
The Wizard’s former territories in the Ethlin kingdom have fallen into chaos as his various monstrous servants begin to turn on one another as they loot his holdings or compete for dominion over one another.
Rumors indicate that the surviving Ethlin Authorities have begun to try and establish a semblance of order in other regions of the kingdom, and have initiated an ambitious architechtural undertaking of some kind in hopes of reclaiming their damaged homeland.August 20, 2013 at 8:00 am #47878SteveModerator@steve

Though the lion’s share of professional soldiers are still in Verath with the majority of Terath’s Monarchs, the few who remain can be found discussing the recent news from out of Ebrus. Word has it that an ancient holdfast was destroyed on the northern Ebran border.
This holdfast served as a military barracks which watched the passes coming down from DragonHeld, and is rumored to have been attacked without provocation; having been utterly demolished. Witnesses describe the great creature which assaulted the barracks as a beast more massive than the Hadrian Capital WarShip, with a thick hide that glimmered with the blood of the Ebran soldiers it devoured.
Ebran authorities seem to be striving to keep a lid on the specific details of this attack, but if the unverified sources can be believed, then the creature was a massive dragon of either red or black coloring.August 27, 2013 at 4:11 am #47902SteveModerator@steve

In the wake of the recent attack in Ebrus, representatives from each of the Kingdoms of Terath have met in The Broken City to discuss continental unity. With the monarchs and their armies still gone from Terath for the indefinite future, many of the kingdoms feel defenseless. The military forces of Falconcrest and Westerland have been keeping peace and providing protection to the best of their ability, but monsters roam freely in many places where they were once held back.
In a gesture of unity, every kingdom of Terath has pledged 1% of their national gross tax to be delivered to The Broken City, and spent for the betterment of all Terath’s lands. Some kingdoms, Ebrus in particular, have insisted on a severe degree of spending oversight, but most kingdoms seem to be participating in good spirits.
As a final gesture of this renewed unity, the delegates will gather to witness breaking of the ground for a new grand memorial, which will commemorate the reign of the late Queen Octavia Lucius. The ground will be broken by Lord Knight Jacen Yabesh, and the first stone will be laid by High Lord Xefrom Venai, The Steward of Rhoum.September 6, 2013 at 4:54 am #47918herogoethKeymaster@herogoeth

Though no armies were sent to Verath from the kingdom of Narovo, the desert nation is still in a weakened state after the Invasion of Typhon. Additionally, numerous Parthan Tribes decided to relocate, moving into the thick jungle to the north which manifested as a result of the influence of an ancient entity known only as The Verdant Lord.
Yet during the last few weeks, a small number of these Parthan tribes have returned to the desert, bringing with them claims that their shamans have learned the secrets of certain forgotten eldritch magics during their time in the wild rain-forest.September 9, 2013 at 11:09 pm #47975herogoethKeymaster@herogoeth

A mighty Red Dragon has been spotten by hundreds or perhaps even thousands of witnesses, circling slowly in the skies above Falion City, the capital of Ebrus.
Though the Red Dragon disappeared over the horizon after remaining visible for only a few hours, many denizens of the city are fleeing in panic. The people of Falion City are terrified that dragon fire will soon rain down upon them, as it did at the end of the War of Kings only a few years ago.September 13, 2013 at 10:04 pm #44011herogoethKeymaster@herogoeth

Rumors indicate that an emissary from Dragonheld recently met with King West at some point during the last week. This emissary, known only as Lord Castigan, was said to have been the personal representative of the Great Red Dragon which was briefly seen above Falion City. The meeting itself took place behind closed doors, and the nature of the discussion has been kept in confidence.
However, nobles within the Ebran court have reported that Lord Castigan left in one piece, and that King West shortly called for his military advisers to meet with him regarding some pressing matter.September 20, 2013 at 2:26 am #48005SteveModerator@steve

Lord Castigan, the emissary from Dragonheld, has been reported to have recently seen in both Narovo and the Ethlin Isles. He is said to have met with a number of Parthan Chieftans in the deep desert, and to have rallied together some of the monsters in the Ethlin territories which formerly served Wizard Panaerus Shale.
After this meeting in Narovo a handful of Parthan hunting parties, consisting of mighty warriors and skilled scouts, are rumored to have set out for Chindius. Their destination or intent, however, remains unknown.September 25, 2013 at 4:35 am #48021SteveModerator@steve

Cropping up all over Terath are reports and rumors of small groups that gather together to speak of the ‘Enlightened One’. Though there have been no reports of violence or wrong doing, there are those (especially in Akeron) who look upon this with suspicion and distrust. Those who gather though seem to pay this no mind, and freely offer healing to those who listen.September 30, 2013 at 7:29 am #48046SteveModerator@steve

The Great Red Dragon which was seen in the skies above Falion City has been spotted again, this time in Chindius. The Dragon reportedly soared down upon a celebratory gathering of gypsies, pouring down dragonfire upon the unsuspecting revelers.
Many lost their lives in the attack, and it is known that at least one powerful Gypsy Elder was slain. The Great Dragon is said to have stolen a powerful artifact from this Gypsy Elder. The artifact was said to be able to produce cool, clear water at a rate similar to that of a great well. The gypsies have utilized this artifact for generations, ensuring that those that travelled with them always had source of fresh water. It is even believed that the recently murdered Gypsy Elder secretly brought the artifact to Pretia City during the spread of Typhon’s poisonous influence, in order to provide uncontaminated drinking water to the Chindian people.October 12, 2013 at 12:54 am #48052SteveModerator@steve

Town criers across Terath bring terrible news of a devastating defeat across the sea in the mysterious empire of Verath, known to be ruled by Emperor Gnaeus Bestia Nos Validus. Word has come that the armies of Terath sufferred immense losses in a desperate battle against the forces which serve the dreaded creatures known as the Pale Ones. The vast number of the Terathian dead remain unknown, but the families of those brave soldiers who left for war must now face the increasingly likely prospect that they will never see their loved ones again.
Meanwhile, here at home, whispers of terror speak of the Great Red Dragon which has assaulted and threatened places all across the continent. Minor councils are convening in various cities, from Titanus in the west all the way to Pretia, but no one has stepped forward with a concrete plan for ending the continuing menace.October 16, 2013 at 6:01 am #48113herogoethKeymaster@herogoeth

A sizable contingent of soldiers marched out of the capital city of Ebrus today. While this force of soldiers is not great enough to wage full-scale war on their own, the force is certainly of sufficient strength to trouble any of those kingdoms which have sent the majority of their armies to Verath.
Some of these soldiers have been heard claiming that the contingent is marching north and east, toward Narovo, And rumor has it that they have been given an order by King West to take these soldiers into the desert to meet a new powerful Cheiftan which has risen amongst the parthan tribes.
Reasons for such an order remain unclear, however. Many are guessing at what might be gained from an Ebran Campaign in Narovo, or what motivations King West might have to send such a large force into the deserts if this is actually a simple diplomatic mission.October 24, 2013 at 1:38 am #48147herogoethKeymaster@herogoeth

A growing swarm of monstrous flora has been spotted in Hadrianus. This horde of terrifying creatures consists of a mass of Briar Beasts and Vine Horrors, and has begun pouring down from the mountains and terrorizing the countryside.
Sights of such creatures are not terribly uncommon in the region, although rising numbers of the beasts are usually trimmed back by the Hadrian military during the spring and summer months. With the Hadrian forces away in Verath, it seems that the unchecked growth of these monstrous predators has allowed a threat to manifest which will require serious attention.
If the creatures are not destroyed or contained before the snows come in earnest, then this vicious mobile plant-life seems likely to flood out of the cold mountains towards Vallis Bay, and the damage to the nearby lands could be very considerable.October 28, 2013 at 11:12 pm #48173herogoethKeymaster@herogoeth

A rallying cry has gone out in the northern reaches of the Falconcrest Kingdom, on the border of The King’s Lands. Though most of the soldiers of Terath are gone across the sea to Verath, there are still those with enough skill and bravery in them to do more than stand idly by as the threat of The Great Red Dragon looms over Terath. The call goes out for any who have the courage to march into DragonHeld to join their cause.
People from Chindius, Hadrianus, The King’s Lands, and even Ebrus have begun to gather and make preparations for a voyage north. Most talk of seeking out Tavernkeep Kalstrom or Tavernkeep Robert and demanding that the Red Dragon be dealt with, while others clamor and shout that they would rather seek out the home of this beast and deal justice with their own blades.October 31, 2013 at 12:14 am #48188herogoethKeymaster@herogoeth

The Ebran soldiers which left from Fallion City a few weeks ago have arrived in the desert and set up camp outside Narovo’s capital city, as if preparing for a siege. Meanwhile, many miles to the north, various Parthan prides have gathered their tribes to consider the words of the new mighty chieftain which has so recently come into power.
Reports indicate that no direct conflict has occurred yet between any of the massing forces in the desert kingdom, but all of Northern Terath seems to be holding its breath in anticipation for what might come next.
