Keymaster@herogoethLanre will raise he mug with those who are toasting his imminent demise, flashing a morbidly sarcastic grin. He will take the second mug offered by Karkarov, hold it up and sniff at the contents before taking a sip. The grimace that follows is half disgust and half delight.
“In less than one week’s time, Ferador is planning on taking us all to the mountains near the city of Rezport. He is doing us this favor, because he wants to take me to a place where a confluence of travel magic flows. Once he has me there, he will need to kill me so that my spirit can be washed in the ambient tide of this magic.” Lanre proceeds to take another sip from the Berserker’s mug, wincing briefly. “I’m no spiritualist, but my understanding is that Ferador plans to somehow sever the natural spiritual threads which bind me to my land of origin, thus setting my soul free to ‘Travel’ in the same way that he and the MapMaker ‘Travel’.”
“Regarding the Pale One Portal and our allies,” he expounds, “I don’t have all the details there. It is my understanding that some of our allies have access to a relic which will help us destroy the portal, but Ferador mentioned that there is some kind of magic in play that might make it difficult for us to succeed. If I had to range a guess, I would suggest that perhaps Ferador would be bringing in whoever possesses the relic.”
Lanre continues to sip curiously at Karkarov’s drink, clearly enjoying the contents with a bittersweet appreciation. “We’ll all have to gather in Northwatch before Ferador whisks us away, so I imagine we’ll have an opportunity to learn more about it all then.”

Participant@selphiebakaOrthia is leaning against the entrance to the kitchen listening.
“You would be talking about King Vol, he is the one with the relic that can stop the drift portal. We talked about it about a month ago.”

Participant@zanSonya comes into the tavern with a note clutched in her hand and addresses the room with her loud voice.
“Has anyone heard from Daryoon of late? Sibella tried to write him and the bird was unable to deliver the letter.”
She scans the room with hopeful glance

Moderator@steveThose assembled in the Tavern look up as Sonya enters and notice that Sibella is only a short distance behind her. As she enters the building, the moment she crosses the threshold all inside are immediately alerted to a scrying attempt that has been blocked. A heartbeat later, you are aware that a second and much stronger attempt was made and it has succeeded. Without a doubt you know that you are not only being watched, but someone is listening as well.
As this happens Sibella’s eyes seem to loose focus and for a few seconds, she stands motionless. As her eyes snap back into focus she removes a piece of rolled parchment from a pouch. Looking at it only briefly, she moves toward the nearest hearth and tosses the paper in the fire.
As the parchment becomes fully consumed by the flames, the scrying attempt ends.

Participant@selphiebakaOrthia will look around the room for a moment then walk up to Sibella. Touching her arm she will cast an identify ritual on her holding her arm tight so she can not easily move away.

Participant@slayer-of-heroesMalestrazza bursts through the door of the tavern, unaware of the scrying that just took place. He only pauses a moment to catch his breath before he manages to speak.
“Have you heard of the massive ritual circles the Pale Ones are creating?! Why is this the first I’ve heard of them! And they’re in the north west as well now!” He stops a moment to breathe a bit more steadily. “Silmarwen has done a great deal to slow the circles’ construction in Haven, but what are we supposed to do about these new ones. . . ? To put in my two copper, I think we need to hit them right now before they finish these things and accomplish either prolonging this war or even winning it!” As he turns around to leave, he hesitates and throws in, “If anyone needs me, I’ll be training my assassins for a final push.”
With that said, he pushes open the door and runs out of sight.

Participant@grayYuri’s head snaps from Sibella to Malestrazza’s outburst and then back again to Sibella. Moving slowly towards Sibella so as to not scare her, or disrupt Orthia’s spell he asks:
Sibella, are you ok? What was that note that you tossed to the fire?
To Orthia he asks:
Any sense of mind control?

Participant@jaercAfter handing Sibella a cloak and bottle, Karkarov lurks near by, clearly concerned more by this than the xelaque’s hastiness.

Participant@zanSonya gives a worried glance from Sibella to Orthia and waits with bated breath for the result of the spell. She glances down at the fire and bites her lower lip in contemplation.
“Sibella wrote me saying that Daryoon wasn’t replying to her letters. Do you think The Pale Ones have Daryoon? Then when they got a letter from Sibella they mind controlled her? Maybe we should contact Xefrom or Avric and see if they have seen Daryoon of late.”
She looks to Sibella and asks “What were you writing Daryoon about?”
March 27, 2015 at 3:36 am #50658Becca
Participant@selphiebaka“Not that I can tell, but I have a weird urge to hand of flame Lanre all of a sudden.”
Orthia will step back and pick up her liquor bottle and take a drink.
March 27, 2015 at 6:40 am #50659Chelsea
Participant@chelseaSibella will silently walk over to a table and sit down. Pulling the cloak tighter around her shoulders. She’ll take a quick drink from the bottle and wipe away a tear in her eye. She is very clearly embarrassed by the whole situation.
“I should’ve know better… I’m sorry…”
She looks over to the fire where the black charred parchment continues to burn
“The letter in the fire is the one that I had sent to Daryoon and it came back to me. It wasn’t anything important, I was asking him some questions about Herromere’s staff and draconic bloodlines. I also asked if he knew anything more about Herromere’s Keep and what could be imprisoned there. I didn’t think it was sensitive information.”
“When I stepped across the threshold into the Tavern, My head began to spin and I couldn’t see straight. Once my vision focused I had several visions.” She looks to Sonya “The visions seem to be a result of me wearing the ring.”
She looks back away, not wanting to make eye contact for to long“In the vision I’m in a forest. It’s dark and there are shadows all around me shifting and moving. It seems that they are searching for someone. As I’m looking around the forest, something catches my eye and I turn and I caught a glimpse of Daryoon running through the trees. I don’t know how, but I know that he is heading to Herromere’s Keep. At the point, the vision splits into two seperate, possible futures. Both of them involving what would happen if the shadows catch Daryoon.” Sibella will pause another moment, catching her breath before she continues
“The first vision seems weak, sometimes it’s a little blurry and hard to see. But it is clearly Daryoon being caught by these shadows, they surround him and cover him entirely. When they move away from him, he is still there. But he seems different. Sibella squints, as if trying to see the picture clearer He seems darker.
From there the vision shifts and Daryoon is leading an army across all of Terath… Claiming victory for the Pale Ones.
The second vision is a lot stronger, I can see it much better. Again, the shadows are surrounding Daryoon, covering his entirely.
This time when they leave him, he’s dead.”
Sibella pauses to take another drink from the bottle, a far away look still in her eyes
“That vision fades away and I am back in the forest. But now Xukkuth running towards Northwatch. Avoiding the same shadows that were after Daryoon. As I’m watching, again it splits into 2 possible futures.“In the first vision, it seems blurry and weak again. The shadows capture Xukkuth; but, instead of covering him as they did with Daryoon, they latch onto his shadow and rip it from his body. From there, the shadows consume his shadow, seeming to become extremely powerful and immensely darker.”
“I the second vision, which seems clearer and stronger. The shadows cover him completely and when they leave him… he is dead.”
Sibella removes the cloack, now feeling the heat of the fire. Her anxiety flaring up again. She stands up and starts to pace back and forth.
“From there the visions fade away and I’m aware that I am here in the Tavern again. But something feels wrong. The shadows from the forest are still here with me, not as strong as they were in the visions. But certainly still here. They were starting to shift and move around and I realized that they were coming from the letter that I had sent Daryoon. I realized that they must have intercepted my letter and are watching it, maybe wanting to see if it would lead them to Daryoon or something. They had to have marked it in some way. So I hoped that if I destroyed the letter it would stop the scrying… So I threw it into the fire.
I’m sorry everyone… I didn’t know.”
With her final words Sibella will walk over to a table in the corner and sit down. Not wanting to look anyone directly in the eyes.PC: Rory Brooker

Participant@zanSonya frowns and seems unsure of how to comfort Sibella. Her face scrunches up in defeat as she reaches into her pouch and puts on a ring. She then follows her ward to the table and sits next to her. After a moment she leans up against her and rests her head on her shoulder.

Participant@jaercSibella’s corner table loses another seat as the berserker sits to quietly regard his niece and neice-to-be and survey the tavern.
The berserker will fidget, drawing forth a scrap of scroll-paper and an unmarked green bottle. He suppresses a sneer as his eyes fall on the damned ring. After a moment’s incant his eyes shimmer with truevision, another moment and Karkarov guzzles the liquid in a single long draw. A deep breath later and he will grunt and nod to Yuri to join the other gypsies. He will speak then with unusual gentleness in a deeply accented tone.
“In var, Sibella, lass, the fhirst kasuality – vell the nobles say it is truth, the bards’ lament innocence, the ghenerals mourn ‘the plan’… liars all.
‘Tis Certainty that’s fhirst to die. Daryoon’s dark fhate may be sealed, Xukkuth’s leghacy devoured, or vhisions could be nyet more than pale vispers, meant to bring doubt and sorrow.”
‘They’ have skrhyed nothing of importance here,” he gestures to the vall papered with old battle plans and now open secrets. “You’ve done nothing wrong.”
“Kome vat may — Evilyoon, or Fhuneral d’Barra — you’ve got your fhamily, and at least back in the halycon day’s ve sang ven ve got ill tidings or screwed the volf. Get’s the spirits back up…videspread gypsy tradition,” he pauses for breath and to toss a glance at Orthia Lockheart, perhaps for confirmation. “Da?”
“Like this.”
Then, suprsingly Karkarov will sing:
“Seven gypsies all of a row
they sang sweet and bonny oh
they sang so neat and so complete
that they stole the heart of a lady ohShe kicked off her high heeled shoes
made of Calien leather oh
then she put on a pair of brogues
and followed The Seven gypsies ohLate that night the lord came home
inquiring for his lady oh
the servant fell upon his knees
she`s away with The Seven gypsies oh…”Karkarov will pause for breath and reassess the mood of the taproom.

Participant@chelseaSibella will relax a little bit in her chair while listening to Karkarov sing, resting her head on top of Sonya’s head as they listen. When he finishes, she’ll straighten up and take a long drink from her bottle before addressing the table.
“With this ring, how accurate are the visions that it has shown you. Have they often come to pass in the same manner they were shown to you? Sibella will glance to Sonya
I think we should definitely reach out to Xefrom and Avric. But I was thinking that we should also reach out to Silmarwen. Maybe she has heard from Daryoon recently.
I know in my vision showed Xukkuth heading to Northwatch… Do we know if he is in town?
Sonya… I… Sibella will hesitate a moment, seeming to gather courage before she continues,I think I should wear the ring again. Maybe, I can help if I have another vision and it helps us find Daryoon and Xukkuth before these shadows get to them…”
Sibella will lean back in her chair and return to sipping from the bottle. Her eyes seem far away, lost in her thoughts once more.PC: Rory Brooker

Participant@grayYuri smiles at Kakarov’s song and brings an extra round of drinks to the table.
I never knew you had such a good singing voice.
At Sibella’s suggestion, Yuri’s eyes narrow as he considers her, but he says nothing
March 29, 2015 at 9:58 pm #51942Valdimarr
Participant@valdimarrValdimarr will look up from his table filled with papers as commotion fills the room. As the commotion begins to subside; he’ll look to Sibella and begin to speak with a soft tone.
“Sibella, the majority of Prophecies are only possibilities; some happen to be more likely then others, but prophecies that are certainties are extremely rare. I’m not a prophetic expert, but I REALLY doubt that these are certain to happen. I agree that you should wear the ring for now; the more we know the more likely it is that we can avoid these futures.”
As Valdimarr finishes speaking he will look back to his papers, but is clearly distracted from his work.
