Silas has a fever, it isn’t confirmed Covid or anything like that but Mike is being safe and isn’t going to be able to run this Wednesday event. With Covid-19 being a plague, how shall we proceed? We want as many players to give their input as possible. Please follow this post and share it will all your Mythic friends as it directly impacts the event happening/location/whatnot on Wednesday.

With the event being so soon this is a rushed poll and will close 3/17/20 at 7pm MST (24 hours before the event would normally happen).

Deb would be running at a park, not Castle if that changes your vote click the little “Remove my Vote” in the lower left of the poll and vote again.

I will not feel bad if you do not vote for having me run the event. I am offering to run a last minute, go do a thing and kill some bad things event because I feel bad when events are canceled. This will not be a world plot event.

Health and safety are important, if most people don’t feel comfortable with an event, I will not be heartbroken.

Silas’s fever lowered to 98.6. He had a fever for less the 24 hours. To be safe we’re going to follow the CDC’s precautions on how to properly discontinue house isolation.
Thank you to those who reached out to us.
    Stay safe out there

    Zan,
I’m so glad to hear that Silas is feeling better!

    Everyone,

Just had something pointed out to me I thought I’d bring up here. Although it looks like the final option is winning the first three are technically all votes for the event to be cancelled, just with different options of what is done with the event being cancelled. So as of 10:05 am it appears cancelling is winning nine to six, just to keep people up to date. Still have about 9 hours before it closes.

My vote is to do something outdoors and active, i think with all the “horrors” of whats going on an active event, no matter how small or big, and even if for a couple hours, would give people a chance to forget about whats going on and would relieve the stress from the last week… just my 2 cents worth from one of the newest members

If the alternate event options were going to just count as cancelations then why not just cancel to start with instead of having a pointless poll? This poll is deceptive and misleading and very upsetting if that is the case.
Fine, go ahead and cancel then.
Running an event with a ton of players on a discord will not be the same or have the same impact.

In reality it should have been two separate polls, should we cancel? Yes/No and then an if we cancel what should we do instead, but I was a bit rushed and made the single poll instead due to Staff not seriously considering cancelling until the limited gatherings announcements from CDC and the government. Sorry for not taking the time to put up the two separate polls, I didn’t really have it.

dont know how to quote posts yet so….correct me if im wrong but im guessing that they are giving us the 3 options of cancelling for a reason

    1-complete cancel of doing anything

2-forum RP thread, while the outdoor event has been cancelled, they are still giving you guys an opportunity to have an event that is RP, some XP may be handed out, maybe not

3-Discord server RP… read 2 but on discord instead of forum allowing a more in depth RP opportunity

so while the event is cancelled, they are still giving a chance to get together

Well see what this Discord RP will entail. I personally don’t think it will work because of how many people there is but whatever.

    As for polls…..
In the future if a poll seems deceptive or unfair I just wont take part.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had issue with polls just the first time I’ve been vocal about it.

Poll, is now closed, has been for a bit now, Staff will discuss the results and get a post about what is decided as soon as possible.
