Another image hovers into view, appearing as a simple golden rune emblazoned upon a dark stone.

This vision seems to impart with it a great sweeping wave of knowledge, indicating that this stone, the Enth Stone, can serve as the keystone for a gate of some kind which could open a portal to a place which is far beyond the reach of mortals, leading you into a nexus of fate, of time, and of primordial power.

This vision shows clay runes being shaped into anchors for the gate, and other strips of colored clay being fashioned into keys of some kind. Then the vision fades.

Kaine watches and listens to all the conversation in the tavern, Karkarov enters and Kaine nods a greeting at his toast

Karkarov, thank you again for your assistance the night you took on the battle of the Shadow Lord. You helped me out of a tricky position just as you said your assistance would that night.

Kaine sips his second glass of wine and looks around to see where the conversation may go.

Leaf will chuckle to himself at the exchanges between everyone in the tavern. “Oh man I have missed being here so much! I love the lively banter and I have missed my friends. I’m excited to meet new people. Maybe one that is even more loquacious than I”.

Leaf will rise and walk over to Karkarov offering him his bottle. Then look at Krow.

“It’s taken a charming soul such as myself over 2 years to even get in the good graces of Miss Sonya over here, keep up the persistance. You have a leg up on me, you don’t have pointy ears”. Leaf will then look over at Sonya and make a childish face tongue out eyes wink thing. “But if you are lucky and have some value she might bend”.

Continuing to hold the drink out to Karkarov, Krow will drink his own, set the glass down, slowly pour another for himself, then nod at Karkarov again.
Krow turns his eyes towards Leaf.

I am aware of Sonya’s view of new people, and where I stand as far as a valuable asset. This I am working on.
My fault was with Master Karkarov here. Assumptions were made, insults exchanged, and now I simply seek to gain good favor again. I’m sure it’ll take much more to gain trust, or alliance, however, all things must start somewhere.

Krow meets Karkarov’s eyes again, and raises the glass towards him a bit more.

A man forced to drink alone is surely lost sir.

Sonya rolls her eyes at Leaf “I’m not racist. Elves, they’re racist.”
She cracks a small grin at Leaf’s silly face. She takes another drink of wine and pulls out a notepad and starts jotting down the symbols that keep appearing.

Smiling at the reactions he got. He will then look to Krow, “I however am far too trusting and stupid to not accept all new people as trustworthy allies. Also I’m a firm believer that no one should have to drink alone unless they want to”. Leaf will raise his bottle towards Krow.

Karkarov grunts almost warmly at Kaine. “That I did, and maybe the day comes soon I’l call that chit in.”

He will happily accept Leaf’s bottle, reducing it by a third or more, while pointedly ignoring the other berserker. “Hey, have you heard from Mal, lately?”

Eventually his attention will wander to scrutinizing his niece Sonya’s notepad. “Your sketching is getting even better!”

Krow shrugs and shakes his head. He places the drinks on the table, stands and leaves.

Kaine grins to Karkarov then turns to Leaf

Always nice to see faces to names you have heard. I’m not entirely sure we have been introduced. I’m Kaine Tharth, Medic and Scout.

Kaine tilts his wine glass in etiquette form to pass the conversation to Leaf for response.

Sonya nods at her uncle and shows him her progress.
“Dah, visions have been flooding our minds. It has to do with the primordials in some way. I’m sure it will come up again.”
Sonya watches as Krow leaves, she rolls her eyes and shakes her head. Her gaze shifts from Leaf to Kaine before going back to her notebook. She glances up from time to time as if monitoring there interactions.

I think it has to do with the moon cascade and our question. It’s trying to answer it but I think it is not very clear.

However I did see a symbol I recognized earlier. It is the same symbol as the one that is on the stone that I got from the Guardian of Khuvall

Leaf will look at the remainder of his bottle and pout slightly. Then look at the freshly poured glasses on the table laugh pick one up and tilt it to Kaine.
“Pleasure to meet you Stranger if you missed my introduction before, I am Leaf Lightfoot interim Sage of this lovely town… that is unless someone has taken that title from me in my absence. I whole heartedly do not think that is the case but I could be mistaken. Why do I doubt that you might be thinking well because everyone loves me and would never do anything to upset me because last time I was upset I cried for hours and it was quite annoying I’m sure to our party as it was in the middle of a quite awful encouter with the lord of Nightmares as well as a fabled version of a very horrifying demon”.
Leaf will then down the glass and pick his bottle.

    “Pleasure to make your acquaintance!!”

Leaf will then sit with the gypsies with a large smirk on his face.

Sibella looks up from her own writing to glance at Karkarov and Sonya

I just don’t understand… Herbal concoctions, types of clay and copper… Are we physically building this stupid gate?
Was I the only one thinking that it was a metaphor for a portal or something?

Sibella glances around the room. After scanning quickly, she returns to her writing

“Yes, I believe this is the schema for the gate. Also this is all information we were given that night in the crypt of the elevens. It was too much all at once even those right next to the moon cascade. This seems to be the information sorting itself out in our mind. I don’t doubt there is some magic to it all. Legend Lore happens in a similar way. You get a flood of images and knowledge but it takes time to straighten out.”

Orthia will shrug seeming a bit irritated, she will pull out a new bottle and open it and continue drinking from it.

Lanre continues to fiddle with the fire for a moment, watching the interactions of the group with a satisfied smirk. He then pulls out a tiny packet of off-white powder, and sprinkles the powder into the hearth. The flames crackle & dance, changing colors between green, orange, and blue.

Seeing Karkarov’s blatant snub of Krow, Lanre shakes his head mirthfully. “What is happening, here!?” He exclaims playfully. “If I didn’t know better, I’d think that the Garadetzki family is going overboard to hold a grudge against one of the adventurers of Northwatch, all for the sake of some misperceived slight.”

“Tsk, tsk. How out of character for you.” Lanre says innocently, watching the dancing flames and glancing over at the gypsies almost pleadingly. “Come now. You remember when I got enslaved by that sword, and attacked Anton, don’t you?”

“Sure, Anton was grumpy for a few minutes, but by the next morning, we were the best of friends. And I didn’t even have to apologize.”

Lanre will turn to fully face the garadetzkis, lifting a knee to place a booted foot upon an empty chair. “And when Councilor Orrin, an unknown element if ever there was one, surrendered before his duty to King & Country and searched your homes for illegal goods, why, did you hold it against him?

    “Of course not!”

He spreads his arms widely in a magnanimous gesture. “You recognized that he was merely doing his job, and you treated him with the kindness and forgiveness that your family is known for.”

“But old Krow, here… what has he done? He called the centuries old Watcher on The Wall a child? He said that Karkarov, in his infinite stupidity, may still one day become a man, if he is somehow able to survive. Well… okay… well, maybe that sounds bad… but come on! He’s extending a hand of friendship, even better yet, a flagon of friendship, trying to atone for his crimes!”

“I mean, he was joking, right? Right?”

Kaine smiles at the seemingly impassioned oratory of Lanre

“Here, here Lanre. I know I do not have a respectable reputation among those of Northwatch yet, however. Despite Krows unique brand of humor the barbarian has always been an invaluable companion in adventure and a good friend from my own past that was willing to forgive me of my wrong doings.”

“I know it is difficult to see new adventurers come into Northwatch, a place you call home, and those adventurers come and go as the seasons change . . .”

    “I . . . I am not sure where my thoughts are. I apologize for speaking up . . .”

Kaine stares to the changing colors in the hearth and takes another drink. Kaine appears troubled suddenly with the thoughts and memories that have come to surface.
