Keymaster@herogoethThe next image gradually surfaces, first appearring as if it were no more than a odd spot in one’s vision, and then slowly manifesting in full form and color. After a few moments, it fades away just like the others.

Participant@zanSonya will walk into the tavern briskly and casts a searching glance around the room. Her eyes fall on Leaf and a genuine smile that reaches her eyes forms on her face. She walks over to him and pats his shoulder.
“It’s good to see you Leaf. You suck for missing the Shadowlord fight by the way.” she says with a teasing grin. With a final pat on his shoulder, a bit harder then it should be, she walks over to Orthia’s table and sits down in her usual bad posture slump.December 4, 2015 at 11:31 pm #53908herogoeth
Keymaster@herogoethAs Krow moves around in order to be able to get line of sight on Lanre, the hulking barbarian sees that Lanre is far enough back in the kitchen that only part of him is visible. From this angle, Krow can see that Lanre’s back is turned toward him as the cartographer continues with his cleaning. There are no words which accompany the unfamiliar tune, but something in the melody seems to invoke images of tall darkened buildings, crumbling cobblestones, and memories of forgotten alleyways.

Participant@krowKrow stands, pours a drink for everyone in a clean mug and as he passes them out to each person, will move towards the back, towards Lanre.
Pushing slowly into the back, Krow will stand next to Lanre, not touching him or his work, but will examine his posture, and actions.Krow whispers
Lanre?

Keymaster@herogoethLanre’s expression is one of a man who is lost in the realm of distant thoughts, not quite vacant, but certainly not anchored in the here & now. And yet, when Krow whispers that name, lanre shows a sad smile. Whether the smile is in response to Krow’s words or to something else entirely is altogether unclear.
The Cartographer rinses out one tankard, now free of grime & residue, and then reaches for another, plunging into a small tub of warm, soapy water. The chain of the haunting melody continues unbroken.

Keymaster@herogoethThe next manifestation of images is the most vivid by far, appearing much closing to being an actual vision than a simple flash of symbols or herbs. At first, the gathered adventurers see a collection of different earthen samples of all kinds. It does not require any lore to recognize these as different forms of dry clay.
However, those who possess nature or craftsmanship lore will recognize the white clay as a type which can occasionally be found along the Great River Adwine. This clay is not nearly as dense as most potter’s clay, and is incredibly easy to shatter in a kiln unless the temperatures are kept just right.
The vision shows these clay samples being mixed with an almost alchemical solution of some kind, which clearly includes mercury and flakes of copper. Then the vision shows a simple coal-burning oven. Those with Heraldry & Regimes lore will recognize it as a type which is very common in the kingdom of Hadrianus. Into the fires beneath the oven, a jet black chuck of coal is placed.
Those with Geography Lore, or with Armorsmithing or Weaponsmithing, will recognize that the coal also originates from the Kingdom of Hadrianus. It is known as Sea Coal, often found in places on the rocky Hadrian Coast.

Participant@krowIt’s like you are being tortured by memories that are not your own friend.
I too know this burden, and can not stand idly by and watch another subjected by it.Krow will slowly take Lanre’s hands with one arm and hold them firm, with the other, Krow will try and pry Lanre away from the sink.
Come back to us Lanre, we are friends here. You need not burden those alone ever again.
Krows eyes turn a bright green and an almost smoke like shimmer of the same shade can be seen like an aura around him.
As if speaking with many voices. We are here with you Lanre.

Keymaster@herogoethWhen Krow touches Lanre’s hands, the cowardly adventurer jumps as if he has just been spooked half-way out of his boots. His features come alive, and his eyes open wide with shock. Lanre’s surprised yelp can be heard even by those outside of the tavern walls.
“Demons below, man.” He says, exasperated. “Did you have to sneak up on me like that?”

Participant@kaine-tharthWhen Orthia looks to Kaine, Kaine puts his hands up in mock defense in the “What?” motion letting Orthia know he was teasing
I must say, I know you will always know more on magic then myself, that I know for sure.
Kaine smiles happily at Orthia
Hello, Leaf. Welcome to the table.
Kaine salutes Leaf by raising his wine glass
Krow? Is Lanre okay?
December 5, 2015 at 2:42 am #53912herogoeth
Keymaster@herogoethLanre will poke his head around the corner from the kitchen upon hearing Kaine’s question. He tosses an inquiring look at Kaine, raising an eyebrow, and then turns to Krow with a playfully sardonic tone. “Krow, is Kaine okay?”

Participant@chelseaSibella walks in, all of her gear with her. She loosens her coat and walks to where Sonya and Orthia are sitting and pulls up a chair herself. Shrugging off her coat and dropping her gear neatly by her, she looks around; taking in everyone that is present.
I leave to Hidranius for a few weeks and come back to floating images… What could have I possibly missed?

Participant@kaine-tharthSarcastically to Lanre
Oh! I’m Aaallllways okay.
In normal tones
Lanre, seriously though. you were humming a tune to yourself in a trance of some time. Back to sarcasm and BY GODS you were washing dishes! Were you possessed by the cleaning gods?
December 5, 2015 at 4:15 am #53913herogoeth
Keymaster@herogoethLanre will shrug and grin. “I’ve had a lot on my mind recently. Just a moment ago, I was thinking about the chemical composition of soap.”
“Though, now that you mention it, I suppose it is possible that anyone in the tavern may be under the influence of the spectres. The place is haunted, as mighty Sonya can certainly attest. Have you all seen the candles flickering blue?”
December 5, 2015 at 4:24 am #53863Travis Emery
Participant@krowKrow loosens his grip and shows the notebook to Lanre
So this is just soap? What about these other things?
As he flips through the pages, Krow’s appearance returns to normal.
Also, the tune you were humming, it was quite eerie.
Krow attempts to recreate the melody from his notes and observations.

Participant@zanSonya smiles as Sibella enters the tavern and waves her over. As Kaine speaks, obvious distaste rests on Sonya’s face. She rolls her eyes at his comments before saying
“Lanre cleans up in here sometimes. It’s something he’s actually good at.”
At Lanre’s comment about her she throws over her shoulder “Shuuuuut up.” in a exhausted tone.
She then leans over to Sibella and quickly explains the visions that have been popping up. -
